Relationships play a huge role in Gossip Girl. Chuck & Blair, the show’s most popular couple, have been on-and-off throughout the Gossip Girl series. They are consistently at ends with each other, but their love seems to have no bounds. However, as the season progresses, Blair begins to have feelings for her best friend Serena’s ex, Dan. In Season 4, Ep 18, The Kids Stay in the Picture, Chuck comes to the realization that he wants to win Blair back after she and Dan share a kiss.
I truly do believe that Blair & Chuck will eventually find their way back to each other somehow. I feel that both of them just needs to allow one another to grow first as they haven't really grown since high-school. They both just need a simple time out as now they just compete with one another instead of allowing them to see what's standing right in front of their faces. I think both Blair & Chuck want to accept each other for who they are but in order to do that they would have to take a look at themselves first, which is hard for them to do.
I think the kiss that Blair & Dan shared was just her way of trying to get over Chuck but it made her realize that Chuck is who she wants but she just wish he could be the man she wants him to be.
