Getting Started:
Registering for Santa's Hideout is extremely easy, I do recommend that parent's of smaller children help their child through the process just in case they run into any problems. While on the site you will need to scroll down to where it states "Create Account" you will now be prompted to enter your Date of Birth, please note this is for security purposes only. After you have finished this step you will then have to provide your First Name, Last Name, Email Address, and then a password that is easy for you to remember.
After finishing the steps above you will be asked about your communication preference in regards to the list. Simply check Yes or No that's it! Once this step is completed you are now able to create a List to share with your family and friends. I promise that setting up an account is extremely easy and is very non-painful.

What I like most about Santa' Hideout is the Online List which makes Holiday gifting so much easier for us mamas. You know longer have to keep track of that wrinkly old piece of paper that your child gave you months ago....... which I tend to always lose..... shhhhhh. But the online list helps me out a lot as I have quick access to my phone which gives me quick access to the Santa's Hideout site. End result - Happy Mama!
Here's how it work:
• As a parent (let's face it, probably Mom) creates an account for as many children he/she wants. They control the access, can set limits on budget and can decide what item can/can't be shown.
• Parents can then send messages as "Santa". They can be anything from asking them to set up a registry to reminding them to take out the trash to telling them if they do well on that spelling test they can add another item to their List
• In the end, the Parent is the decision maker on all items children add, so you can share registry items that exceed "Santa's" budget, but also delete items that seem excessive or inappropriate. Parents can also set up group lists for gifts that are shared across multiple children; like that Xbox 360 grandma is buying for the entire family.
