It's fully lined and has a hidden top magnetic closure that clasp together - please note that the magnetic closure is more on the light side - meaning it doesn't have a super strong hold.

This bag can last you several stylish seasons with proper care. The care instruction state that you'll need to spot clean only with mild soap and water. I don't see this bag getting dirty because its black, but the white threading might need a little care further down the line. But like I said if you properly care for your tote you shouldn't run into any problems.
