Every week your local Grocery Store will send out a weekly sales paper. Within the sales paper usually you can find deals that they are featuring for that week. What next you ask.. on occasion you will be sent several sales papers from various stores with advertised specials. First, go through each paper to find which store is offering the best deal. Once you have done this choose the sale paper that offers the most affordable items that you and your family are use to eating.
Next you will create a Menu for all the meals you plan on cooking for that week. After finishing your Menu you will create a Grocery List of the items needed to prepare your meals. To help you stretch your dollar even further I recommend that you use coupons. If you don't know where to look usually you can go to your local Grocers Website and they will offer what is called E-Coupons. With the E-Coupons you have the option of printing the coupons of your choice from your printer.
Also you can go to you local Grocers Website and sign-up for E-Newsletters, usually with E-Newsletters you will alerted of special deals.
Others ways you can save during your trip to the Grocery Store is never take Credit Cards and or Checks. Always carry cash and remember only bring what is needed as bringing more will tempt you to overspend and you don't want that.
I only spend $75 to $100 a week with a family of five, I do this by sticking to my grocery list and using coupons. It only takes me 20 to 30 minutes to create a Menu and Grocery List. I hope that this helps.. If you have more suggestions please feel free to add them. Thanks!
Have a great weekend!
I do the same thing -- If its not on the list its not coming home -- no matter how hungry I am at the moment.LOL
