Dana (Paige Turco) is finally starting to realize that her tight-knit family is starting to fall apart. An unexpected letter shows up from a unknown buyer to purchase the family mountain that she inherited from her uncle. She jumped at the chance to gather up the kids and take them to the mountains, as she hopes this trip will bring her family back to a peaceful place. But, once they arrived to the mountain they quickly learned that nothing was what it seemed. The mountain actually holds an old ancient secret that no one has yet to discover. Seems that everyone who has took on the mountain has mysteriously disappeared. But being presented with the information and what the mountain may hold Dana (Paige Turco) and her family quickly come together to take on this mysterious quest. So the question is will Dana (Paige Turco) and her family survive the deep ancient secrets that are within these mountains? I guess you will have to watch to find out.
Secrets of the Mountain has a few twist and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat. My family really enjoyed watching this movie and can't stop raving about it. What I like most about this film is that it's family friendly and there is no violence and or vulgar language. Please note that there are brief incidents of a car crash, skeletons and a few spiderwebs so this may be scary for some little ones. But the scenes are pretty quick and they tie the whole story together.
I love the fact that Secrets of the Mountain showed the ups and downs of family-hood and how a family can come together no matter what or who stands in their way. If you like Indiana Jones you will definitely love Secrets of the Mountain. This movie is somewhat different as it takes on a different direction than Indian Jones. The acting is considerably great and better than what I expected. I highly recommend Secret of the Mountain as it would make a great movie for family night.
