Is your curling iron starting to "clamp" your style? Sometime you just gotta let loose! Soft, sexy curls are now extremely easy to create with the new Infiniti by Conair You Curl. The You Curl has a unique, clamp-free design and a cone-shaped barrel that creates a softer, less structured curl. Simply wrap hair around the barrel, hold for a few seconds and then release. The conical design allows the curls to start closer to the root, allowing more volume through the middle (large portion of the barrel) and the bottom will have a tighter curl (small section of the barrel). The effect is trendy, free-flowing spirals with no “clamp kinks.”

The powerful ceramic heater features Tourmaline Ceramic technology which provides more protection, reduces frizz, helps eliminate static and does not have damaging hot spots. The ultra-high heat levels are instantly restored during use, and the 5 LED settings provide the ideal temperatures for all hair types. The stay-cool safety tip protects fingers during use.
My Thoughts
I have a love/hate relationship with my hair when it comes to styling and or bouncy curls. I am constantly trying to create lasting curls only to have them unravel within a matter of minutes. I have used hairspray and various other hair products but honestly they don't do much for holding my hairstyles in place. My hair does have some damage due to it being chemically processed but I have been chemical free for 3 years now. Since, my hair has regained some of its moisture but the problem is it's now dry and very thin. I have tried various hair tools but they just seem to burn out the little hair I do have, which isn't good.
I have been using the Conair You Curl for about three weeks and so far I'm loving it. I have been experimenting with several styles and so far they have held up even in hot humid whether. The curling iron does not however comes with a clamp as with tradition curling irons so it did take me a few days to become more accustomed to using it.
When wrapping my hair around the barrel, I used about a maybe 1/2 inch section of hair and twirled it around from roots to end. Given that your fingers will tend to get hot if you are too close, I highly recommend using a glove for protection. My curls came out bouncy and surprisingly lasted longer than usual which was quite shocking. The Infinity Ceramic Curling Iron reaches up to 400 F and heats up in about 30 seconds. What I like most is if you are in a hurry it has automatic shutoff. I tried to take photo's but they were just to blurry and the curls weren't as visible. But, I will update this post as soon as one comes out good enough to post.
How-To -Use
1. Take a 1-inch wide section of hair, starting 2 inches from the scalp.
2. Wind the section of hair around the thicker portion of the barrel toward the cool tip.
3. Hold the end of the hair in place at the cool tip for 5 to 8 seconds depending on hair type, and then release. Because there is no clip, you can easily curl hair without kinks. For tighter, bouncier curls, roll less hair. For loose, free-flowing curls, roll more hair. To "set" the curl, do not comb or brush hair until it cools.
4. Repeat process on additional sections of hair until you achieve the hair style you desire.
