Rite Aid Offers Cool-for-School Savings

With back-to-school shopping underway or just around the corner, Rite Aid is giving customers more ways to save on school supplies than ever before including offers advertised in Rite Aid's weekly newspaper circulars, rebates, online coupons and member-only wellness+ customer rewards and discounts.

To help shoppers quickly find the best deals for students' school supplies requested by teachers and schools, Rite Aid again has created a back-to-school shopping spread inside August's Single Check Rebate guide. The four-page pull-out available online and in stores contains more than 40 commonly requested school supplies worth more than $140 in rebate checks, which can be requested at www.riteaid.com or through the mail based on select purchases.

Rite Aid's Video Values program at www.riteaid.com, which allows consumers to watch videos and earn coupons on select products, will feature a dozen back-to-school coupons in August. Those include deals from Mead and Elmer's plus dorm room staples such as GE Energy Smart compact fluorescent bulbs and snacks and meals from brands including Kraft and General Mills.

Many back-to-school discounts in Rite Aid circulars are available with the Rite Aid wellness+ card. The wellness+ customer rewards program provides members with free health and wellness benefits, as well as shopping discounts. It is available free at stores, online at www.riteaid.com or by calling (800) RITE-AID. Online activation allows members to print a coupon for $5 off the next $25 purchase.

Rite Aid newspaper circulars will features select weekly specials on products including the following:

· A wide variety of art supplies from Crayola and Rite Aid's Harvard Square brand to help children find their inner Picasso and mix and match crayons, colored pencils, markers, paint and poster board.

· Mead composition books are always a classic, and students of all ages can stay organized with colorful Mead binders, notebooks, planners, organizers and portfolios.

· Color is definitely "in," and themed notebooks, backpacks and pads are splattered with Toy Story, crazy stripes, flowers and other designs.

· To write reports and mark up those pages, don't miss the collection of pens, pencils, Sharpie markers and Pilot erasable Frixon highlighters.

· From high-tech to low-tech, there are Texas Instruments calculators and Franklin electronic dictionaries and plenty of Scotch tapes, glues and adhesives for all the sticky needs.

· Lunch coolers also will be discounted, along with Capri Sun and Mott’s juices and snack favorites including Stauffer’s Animal Crackers, Combos and Pepperidge Farm Goldfish.

For those headed to college, these necessities will keep dorm rooms and assignments in order:

· Scholars can stash laundry in a mesh spiral hamper at a great price.

· It’ll cost quarters at the laundromat, but students can save on Tide and Xtra laundry detergents.

· No time for laundry? Febreze will freshen rooms and clothes at low prices.

· Just in case, students can back up class documents on Sandisk or Lexar 4 GB flash drives. Or, they can print with great deals on Xerox copy paper and Hewlett Packard ink cartridges.
