On October 7th, the USO hosted its annual Gala at The Marriott Wardman Park Hotel in Washington D.C. to honor five outstanding service men and women from each branch of the military for their extraordinary loyalty and heroism.
As “the Proud Sponsor of Moms,” Procter & Gamble recognized that the star-studded evening would not only be special for the men and women being honored – but for their proud mothers as well. To make their big night extra memorable, P&G took over the hotel’s Presidential suite to host the P&G Beauty Room – a luxurious lounge where the moms and wives of the honored servicemen gathered to have their hair and makeup done by top Washington, D.C. beauty pros using COVERGIRL and Pantene products. The P&G Beauty Room was created as part of P&G’s ongoing Proud Sponsor of Moms campaign, designed to thank moms everywhere for the sacrifices they make for their families on a daily basis.
As you can see from the photos, the P&G Beauty Room was buzzing with excitement as the women enjoyed pampering for the glamorous evening ahead. And after a whirlwind visit to the nation’s capital, which included meeting senior military and congressional officials, the P&G Beauty Room also provided a perfect place for the moms to relax, enjoy their beauty treatments and prepare for the emotional culmination of their trip: seeing their son or daughter presented with a USO Serviceman of the Year award.
