Ty's Nutrisystem Journey

If you've ever tried to lose weight - we've all been there at some point - you're probably well aware of how difficult it can be trying to shed excess body weight. It can be extremely difficult trying to eat healthy and exercise regularly, especially when you're first starting out. Trust me, I know all too well that it's no walk in the park, losing weight is the hardest challenge I've faced, and I do mean the hardest.

It takes a lot of hard work and dedication to lose weight, and frankly those are the two obstacles that continues to hold me back, hard work and dedication...of course. I, myself, don't have the dauntlessness to lose weight on my own, I've tried and have failed miserably each and every time. There's no one but myself to blame as I've allowed myself to get this way, corpulent and UNHAPPY.

For the first time in my life, I finally realized that I can't just sit around and do absolutely nothing, my health is worth way more than that. I can't let my rotundness get the best of me, which it already has to some degree. I'm sick and tired of looking in the mirror because I don't like the hideous portly woman that's looking back at me, that's sad but true.

I'm sure some people see me as that BIG avaricious woman that can't control herself around food, and that's okay. However, I don't want to be that BIG avaricious woman any longer, I just want her to GO far away from here and leave me the heck alone.

I weighed many options on how I would like to go about losing this avaricious woman that continues to cling to my body. While it would be totally awesome to lose 100 pounds in 100 days, that's not a realistic approach, that much I do know. I know that it takes a lot HARD work and dedication, and you know what, I'm 100% ready for the challenge. I've decided that Nutrisystem was the perfect solution, it's affordable and they provide you with all the tools you'll need in order to lose weight.

AND

With the Nutrisystem program, I have the option of eating breakfast, lunch, dinner and a snack - which are all perfectly proportioned for weight loss. Their program allows you to lose weight effectively without having to starve yourself,  I've been there and it was not fun.

The plan consist of 28 Breakfast items, 28 Lunch items, 28 Dinner entrees, and 28 Snack options. Now that's a lot of food! The food taste pretty good, but it does take you awhile to get use to the taste and the portion sizes.

I've been on Nutrisystem for two weeks and lost a total of 8 pounds, I'm so proud of myself. I apologize for not posting sooner, but I had some family matters that needed my immediate attention, that's why I haven't really posted last week. I'll be posting my progress as well as sharing my struggles and trumps. Stay tuned!

    1. It's very hard trying to find a weight loss program that offers the perfect balance of nutrition, calorie control, and portion sizes. I went with Nutrisystem because I have used it in the past and lost quite a bit of weight. I hope you find what you're looking for Ashley. Good luck!!

  10. Good Luck hope it goes well. I did Nutrisystem for a while and I think the food is pretty good I loved the frozen the best, had a hard time though with the snacks (they bothered my digestive system). But over all it is a good program.

    1. I LOVE the Frozen food especially the Beef and Broccoli, so good! I haven't had any problems with the snacks, thankfully. But like I said the food does take a while to get use to, but the program does work if you do everything correctly. Have a wonderful day, Colleen.

    1. That's exactly what I've been dealing with Marcie! I've reached that "I'm done" point in my life where I'm just so tired of being overweight. Some people can deal with but I can't. I've tried to think of myself as beautiful but I just can't, sad right? I don't even take pictures anymore and I truly miss that about myself.

  25. I am so pleased for you! I understand how it can be. When my precious daughter passed away, I turned to food as my drug. I thought (and still do to a large degree) that I was doing my favor by attempting to soothe (as if anything would) with food and not drugs or alcohol.

And then there came a point when I had to admit I was just heartbroken, bereaved and did NOT like what I saw in the mirror.

All that to say I relate to the struggle. I am over here rooting you on!

(You also see me around your facebook page as Wendy T, as an FYI).

    Keep it up, Mama!
