Hello lovelies! How's your summer been so far? We're extremely sorry for our brief hiatus, but we've been extremely bone-weary the past few months and needed a quick break (And by we, I mean my husband and I). So, we decided to take a mini-vacation to Los Angeles to escape from all the stress, and I am SO happy that we did! During our vacation to Los Angeles, we had the pleasure of visiting the Page Museum at the La Brea Tar Pits. We had so much fun learning about fossils and getting to see them in person. Oh, what a treat! So, here are a few photos from the museum. Hope you enjoy them!
Wow! Very cool. We are headed to Idaho to visit family for two weeks!
ReplyDeleteMy husband grew up in the LA area so he is familiar with the La Brea Tar Pits. We will have to make it a point to take the kids during our next family vacation, especially since they just love museums!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a great museum full of fun and learning!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun! We plan to spend a lot of time cooling off at the pool.
ReplyDeleteWe'd love to check out some museums too!
ReplyDeleteHow neat! We're moving from South Dakota to Texas this summer, so so far that has meant packing and purging, lots of phone calls, more packing and purging...LOL! I'll be glad when we're settled in our new home and this is all done!
ReplyDeleteMuseums are so much fun! Great pics.
ReplyDeleteOh wow I didn't even know the Tar Pits were still open, so glad to see they are!
ReplyDeleteSo, does tar pits make anyone else think of My Girl 2? :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteThe Tar Pit Museum looks like something I would love to visit. As far as family vacations, we're taking a road trip through a few states, staying at the WorldMark in Phoenix, then coming home to celebrate a bunch of birthdays.
ReplyDeleteI have wanted to go there for so long! I really need to make it a priority since it isn't too far away.
ReplyDeleteThe next time we are in LA, we are going to take the kids there. I know they will love it!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't heard of this until they mentioned it on Cougar Town, lol.
ReplyDeleteI'll have to try and make it here, the next time I am in LA. It looks like an amazing museum!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of the tar pits but it looks really awesome!
ReplyDeleteIt's sad that I've lived in LA for 6 years now and I've only ever drived past it. Never been there.
ReplyDeleteWe have travel, beach, waterpark and much more ahead this summer LOL. I'd love to go to a museum like that though, we just don't have any around that I know of. My sons would love the dinosaurs
ReplyDeleteHow fun that you got away on a mini vacation! We had been playing at the pool a lot, going to the library, summer movies, etc. We have a couple of family reunions planned but not too much other than that.
ReplyDeleteLots of fun in the water and relaxing!
ReplyDeleteOoh, love the dinos!
ReplyDeleteWow, that Wooly Mammoth and Saber Tooth Tiger look kinda scary in pictures. I'd probably be a little freaked out seeing them in person, but what a cool museum!
ReplyDeleteI have a whole list of ideas but no museum visits..
ReplyDeleteJune was chaotic with travel, but I'm hoping that my July has just BlogHer and a whole lot of stay home and do nothing besides that.
ReplyDeleteWHat a fun adventure! My husband has talked about heading that way for vacation -- he'd love a stop here.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great museum to visit and take the kids. You take some awesome pics!
ReplyDeleteMy family will be visiting LA in just a few weeks and the tar pits have been highly recommended. Looks like you had a great visit.
ReplyDeleteIt looks fascinating, I love to learn about animals, especially extinct animals
ReplyDeleteThat looks sooo awesome. My boys would flip out in a place like this! Great pics!
