Add Some Fun to Your Child's Lunch with Lindsay Olives + Mama's Kid-Friendly Creamy Chicken Salad Recipe

I was invited and compensated by Lindsay Olives for this recipe and post. All the experiences and opinions in this post are 100% my own.

If you're looking to liven-up your child's lunchbox you're definitely not alone! We're all getting a little sick (and tired) of eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, right? Um, there's no reason why kids should have to rely on eating the same OLD boring peanut butter and jelly sandwich every single day, right? They're starting to get a little boring (at least we think so). With a little help from Lindsay Olives — parents will be able to create simple, salubrious recipes and “out of the box” bento lunches to help beat their child's “peanut butter and jelly” boredom blues. Want to fill your child's lunchbox with colorful and tasty snacks? Um, who doesn't, right? Simply gather-up a few of your child's favorite snacks (and add-in a few olives) to make their lunchbox more fun and enjoyable. Hint: You can use the Lindsay Olives to make little happy faces or shapes. Cute, right?

Lindsay Olives

Um, your child's lunchbox should be FUN and exciting, not BORING! Some kids (especially the younger ones) really enjoy it when their lunch consist of different shapes and sizes. If your child's LUNCH looks like one of their favorite characters, they're most likely to eat them. You can find sandwich and cookie cutters with cartoon characters and animals to help you create a super cute look for your child's lunch. Also, if you're going to make sandwiches for your child, try using various types of breads it's a great way to introduce them to new textures and flavors. Be sure to complete your child's lunch with some imaginative fruits and veggies. You can also add some peanut butter and raisins to your child's lunch to build some “ants on a log.” Kids love them! For the little ones, you can try putting some olives on the side, to have them count them — it's a great way to introduce them to counting. Now you can give your little ones healthy choices without being too obvious about it. The fun shapes will surely make the veggies look more appealing, too!

  13. I've never thought about putting olives in chicken salad before. Not sure if I would like the two tastes together since I like my chicken salad more on the sweet side with grapes in it though.

  26. Chicken salad with Olives sounds amazing. I cannot not eat them as much as I like because the sodium makes my feet swollen. However, a few Olives in moderation rocks my day!
