Concierge teams don't operate in a typical sales or call-center environment. Instead, they provide a high level of customer service normally associated with luxury hotels. They are knowledgeable and experienced, and they go the EXTRA mile to meet the needs of their customers. Many concierge services are FREE services. They enable homeowners and renters to set up all their services through one point of contact. And, they manage multiple services and WORK installations around the customer’s schedule. The same pricing applies to home services whether they are ordered through a concierge service or directly through the provider. Some concierge services offer discounts. How awesome is that?
Concierge services deal with a wide variety of residential utilities and home services: home security systems, homeowner’s insurance, home automation, electric and gas utilities, satellite, telephone services, high speed Internet services or bundles, cable and fiber optic television services and cleaning services. They arrange services for bottled water delivery (awesome, right?), magazine subscriptions, mail forwarding and change of address.
Concierge teams can SAVE you a trip to the post office by filing a USPS Change of Address Form. This is a secure way to notify organizations and businesses of an address change. It is also smart for homeowners and renters to consider all of the places that need this notification, from utilities and financial services to subscriptions and government offices.
Companies that provide electricity, gas, water, garbage, telephone, cable and Internet services are primary examples of utilities that require change of address notification. Financial and personal services include attorneys, banks, credit card companies, insurance agencies, doctors and veterinarians. Newspapers, magazines and other publications also require address change information, as do the post office, Internal Revenue Service (IRS), child support agencies, driver license and vehicle registration services and the Social Security office.
Moving into a new home can be time-consuming and stressful. Concierge services can make the moving experience convenient and free from hassles. They can save people valuable time before, during and after their move.
Have you ever used a concierge service? If so, what was your experience?

This is really interesting. I have never used this type of service.
ReplyDeleteI never used a concierge service but I think it would have made things much easier if I had
ReplyDeletesounds like a fabulous service for people who hate to take care of details
ReplyDeleteI'm not so sure that it's a service I would use, I'm kind of a control freak that way and need to make sure that I do things like that myself. I think I've been burned too many times having relied on someone else and had the ball dropped and I was left holding the bag.
ReplyDeleteThat's brilliant. It's so stressful handing all of that stuff when moving! I'd love to have help.
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know there were services like this. VERY awesome!
ReplyDeleteI've never heard of this service before. Thanks for the blog post about it. There's a good chance we'll be moving out of state next spring, so I may be looking into a concierge service to help.
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't but after my last move I would consider it!

ReplyDeleteNo, but it sounds awesome.
ReplyDeleteI guess if I was world traveler on the move all the time this might be something I'd use, but I would feel extraordinarily lazy if I did it now. It's a nice convenience for its demographic though.

ReplyDeleteI haven't heard these services, but they would definitely come in handy for a move. SO much work is required to get everything switched from one residence to another -- it would be great to have help like this!
