On PinkTogether.com everyone can share hope by posting and reading inspiring stories of breast cancer survivors and supporters within the community.
The site is part of Pink Together®, a national campaign to support those impacted by breast cancer and to help raise awareness of the disease. To support Pink Together, General Mills is donating $2 million to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and is turning the packaging pink next month on an assortment of its most beloved brands. General Mills will also donate $1, up to $20,000, each time you post a comment of encouragement, send a virtual flower bouquet or share a story on PinkTogether.com.
As part of this campaign My Blog Spark and Pink Together has teamed up with Mama of 3 Munchkins to help spread the word. I know that this is hard for some to talk about but remember their is always support out there so don't never think that you are alone. My mom was diagnosed with Breast cancer 15 years ago and that was the hardest thing in the world for me to deal with. Luckily she went in time so now she is a survivor. My mom is my hero and she showed me that with courage and motivation you can make a change.
Please visit PinkTogether.com and read some of the inspiring stories. You can also watch these short videos from the 2009 Pink Together Survivor Ambassadors talking about their journeys with breast cancer.

ReplyDeleteMy mother inspires me so much. When our father died when my brother was 8 and I was 7 she took over the role of both mother and father without blinking an eye. She is so strong and such a wonderful woman. I hope one day to be half the mother she was to us.

My Friend, LInda inspires me the most. She coordinates and runs a charity event called Journey for Life. The proceeds are donated to a breast cancer prevention and treatment fund. Then money helps pay for mammograms for uninured women and provides overnight stays for family members of breast cancer patients. I also volunteer my time to this cause. Her organizational and leadership skills inspire me to be a better person.
