Some Summer Skincare Tips:
UVB rays are the main cause of sunburns, DNA damage & skin cancer. SPF protects against these rays, so make sure to apply sunscreen daily!
Who doesn't want to stay young-looking? Reducing sun exposure is Step 1. The sun is responsible for over 90% of the visible signs of aging.
The sun’s rays are as toxic to your skin as smoking is to your lungs. Just as you can avoid smoking, protect your skin by staying out of the sun.
Planning on eating lunch outside? If you’re going to be outside between 10AM and 4PM, be sure to put on sunscreen! This is when the sun’s rays are the most severe and can cause the most damage to your skin!
If you’re at the beach or pool, remember that putting on sunscreen just once isn’t enough. A variety of factors including high humidity, sweating, drying off with a towel and contact with water can all make sunscreen less effective so be sure to re-apply every two hours or when needed.
Take the Eucerin Skin First Pledge:
Last year we went on a mini vacation and most of our time their was mostly spent outdoors. I made the mistake of not wearing any protection for my face or body. Let me tell you it was the most painful experience that I have ever encountered in my life. My skin was literally burned to the point I had blisters and some raw areas around my face. It was so bad I could barely move any of my facial muscles and any type of movement I made was beyond painful. Shortly after my skin started to peel and I had light patches in certain areas around my face. It took about a month before I could bare to go outside as I looked burned. But after that one experience I have learned my lesson and will take care of my skin for now on.
I have been using Eucerin Everyday Protection Lotion 15 & 30 – Face & Body lotion daily. Not only do they protect my skin but they give me the comfort of knowing that I am doing something wonderful for my precious skin. Using these is just one of the ways you can protect your skin but I would like to also suggest that you take the Eucerin Skin First Pledge for each pledge submitted Eucerin will be making a donation to Healthy Women.org.
How random. I just bought some Eucerin today at CVS. I took my toddler in for something else and they said he had very dry skin on his arm and somewhat of a heat rash on his back. They said to get some Eucerin and that would help him. The only thing was, that when I was looking, there were like 5 different types to pick from. Looks like a good product.
