Creamy Tater Tot Casserole + McCain Grocery Goodness $500 Stock Up Facebook Giveaway

Creamy Tater Tot Casserole

Um, who doesn't LOVE tater tot casserole? It's creamy and delicious, right? If you're a HUGE fan of tater tots and ground beef, then you must-try this scrumptious tater tot casserole. It's deliciously good and kids LOVE its creamy texture. This recipe is a HUGE crowd pleaser — it's layered with creamy chunks of ground beef and topped with melted cheddar cheese and McCain Tasti Taters. Can you say YUMMO!! We sure can! It's the ultimate comfort food and it's perfect for fall. One thing's for sure, this creamy tater tot casserole will quickly become a HUGE hit with both kids and adults alike. I'm getting HUNGRY just thinking about this creamy tater tot casserole. YUM!!

We LOVE eating McCain's Tasty Taters plain and we LOVE adding them to our favorite dishes, such as our scrumptious tater tot casserole. Plus, McCain's Tasty Taters makes ALL of our recipes stand out, so what's not to love, right?

 Creamy Tater Tot Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 (32 ounce) package frozen tater tots, (such as McCain's Tasti Taters)
  • 1 (15 ounce) can of Libby's Whole Kernel Sweet Corn
  • 2 medium yellow onions, thinly chopped
  • 1 (1 lb. 10 ounce) can of Cambell's Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 1 cup of Kraft Natural Cheese Finely Shredded Triple Cheddar (to garnish)
  • 2 1/5 pounds (90% lean) ground beef
  • 1 (teaspoon) Louisiana Cajun Season, you can add more to taste

How to Make It

Preheat oven to 350 F. Lightly grease medium sized baking pan with olive oil, then set aside.

Brown the ground beef with onion, then season with Cajun seasoning; drain off fat. Stir in the corn and cream of mushroom soup and add 1 or 2 cups water. bring to boil. Then transfer the meat mixture to your baking pan. Then top with tater tots and then sprinkle the top with cheese. Bake until golden brown on top, 35 to 45 minutes.

  7. I sometimes pick up a bag of tater tots to serve as a side dish, but I've never used them as an ingredient. I think I've been missing out all these years! This might just be the topping I'll need next week for my leftover-Thanksgiving-turkey pot pie. Thanks!
